Hello, Everybody, and Happy Women's History Month! We are always extra energized about this time of year here at the foxcraft. You can expect the next few posts to be full of some amazing contemporary women photographers along with the latest foxcraft updates.
Have you all got plans for International Women's Day on the 8th? I recommend catching the opening of the Gender and the Lens exhibit at Ryerson Artspace at the Gladstone which will explore different aspects and versions of what it means to be gendered female.
Another option is the Women's Day with Bad Girls Collective at the Drake. The Bad Girls Collective describes itself as a gathering of badass women who are on that intellectual tip. So, how could you go wrong?
A lesser known holiday lands on the 31st of this month. Support Women Artists Now Day, or SWAN Day is an international holiday designed to showcase the power and diversity of women’s creativity. I'll be putting together a special post that day and will make sure to share any events or festivities with you that I come across. Make sure you provide your email below in the subscription box, so you don't miss out.
This year, I'm also trying to sync my reading list with whatever's going on in my creative life. So, since most folks I talk to are looking for book recommendations, here's a peek at the books I'll be reading this Women's History Month.
We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and The Power by Naomi Alderman.
Last, but certainly not least, I'd like to invite you to join me for my Blogging & the Creative Process Group this Tuesday, the 6th. That's tomorrow! We will be meeting every two weeks at Relish Bar & Grill.
I have put this group together to provide inspiration, motivation, and support while keeping blogging and the creative process fun. I hope to see you there!
